Criminal Law

Bail, defence, private complaints and quashing petitions, with fast action when it matters.

In criminal matters the first forty-eight hours often shape everything that follows. We move quickly, explain your rights plainly and stay with you through trial.

We act for both the accused and complainants in matters under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, which replaced the IPC and CrPC from 1 July 2024, as well as special laws.

Whether you need anticipatory bail, a private complaint before a Magistrate or a defence at trial, we prepare thoroughly and keep you informed at every stage.

Common questions

What is anticipatory bail?

It is a direction that, if you are arrested in connection with an accusation, you will be released on bail. It can be sought from the Sessions Court or High Court when you reasonably fear arrest for a non-bailable offence.

The police are not registering my complaint. What can I do?

You can approach the Superintendent of Police and, if that fails, file an application or a private complaint before the jurisdictional Magistrate. Our PCR desk prepares and files these complaints.

Can a false case be quashed?

The High Court has inherent powers to quash proceedings that are an abuse of process. Whether a petition is advisable depends on the facts, so we review the FIR and documents first.

This page is general information, not legal advice. The right course depends on your facts.
